Conductor Jacob Fischer is one of Denmark's most active and acclaimed jazz musicians, with an international career in full swing, touring the United States and Japan with American musicians. He has been featured on more than 200 CDs and has played with the best musicians in Denmark and abroad. No less important are his 15 years in the quartet of violin master Svend Asmussen, which have made him known outside the narrow circles of jazz. He is the only recipient of the three most important jazz awards: the Ben Webster Award, the JASA Award and the Palæ Award.
