The Farfisas • Surf Far, Surf Good

Surf Instrumental Band "The Farfisas" is the latest brain child of native New Yorker Rick Horvath. Rick got the inspriration to create and record surf music while hosting a weekly surf radio program "The Shrunken Head Lounge" (http://theshrunkenheadlounge.com). Performing all the instruments himself, Rick assumes the identity of guitarist Frankie Farfisa and actually interviews Frankie on Youtube.

The songs have a unique and modern day surf sound featuring catchy hooks and the classic Farfisas organ sound. The album release on OGWA Music contains 8 original compositions including '66 GTO and Charlie Horse and is available for download at all online retailers

  1. Do you have access to Mike Adams and the Red Jackets "Surfer's Beat"? (Crown Recs. 1963)
You sure have a lot of surf!

  3. Anónimo,
The whole Mike Adams is up on YouTube. Also their Twist album -- which is the same thing with different titles! The Coronet label does that a lot.
