Hot Club De Norvège • Presenting Jimmy Rosenberg & Ola Kvernberg

Violinist Ola Kvernberg and guitarist Jimmy Rosenberg are featured throughout this disc in different combinations with two other guitarists, a bassist, and violinist Finn Hauge. Kvernberg and Rosenberg constantly bring back the memory of Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt, so it is intriguing to hear them play some material that Reinhardt and Grappelli never had a chance to explore, including "David," the catchy "Natascha," Willie Nelson's "Crazy," and a Michel Petrucciani piece. Of the guests, Finn Hauge makes the biggest impression, trading off with fellow violinist Kvernberg on "Reunion Blues." Kvernberg and Rosenberg play with charm, virtuosity, and a deep understanding of gypsy swing, making this a highly recommended disc.

El violinista Ola Kvernberg y el guitarrista Jimmy Rosenberg aparecen a lo largo de este disco en diferentes combinaciones con otros dos guitarristas, un bajista y el violinista Finn Hauge. Kvernberg y Rosenberg traen constantemente el recuerdo de Stephane Grappelli y Django Reinhardt, por lo que es intrigante escucharles tocar material que Reinhardt y Grappelli nunca tuvieron la oportunidad de explorar, incluyendo "David", la pegadiza "Natascha", "Crazy" de Willie Nelson y una pieza de Michel Petrucciani.
