Pete Smith, Dick This! is the fourth studio album from German singer/songwriter
Sasha Schmitz, but the first and last to be released under his alter ego Dick
Brave & the Backbeats. Inspired by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, the 2003
side project, which featured four of his fellow musicians, included covers of
'50s and '60s classics (Bobby Vee's "Take Good Care of My Baby,"
Little Richard's "Slippin' N Slidin'") and contemporary pop songs
(P!nk's "Get the Party Started," Michael Jackson's "Black or
White") performed in a rockabilly-influenced style.
