Ximo Tébar (Valencia 1963) is “Marca España” [Spanish Brand], a tasty fusion influenced by the classics, art of methodical virtuosity and daring jazzistic innovation. More than three decades ago, jazz guitarist, composer and producer Ximo Tebar began to promote his own projects fusing jazz with Mediterranean music. In December 2003 he moved to New York taking up residence in Manhattan and begins to creep into the jazz scene playing with Michael P. En diciembre de 2003 se traslada a Nueva York fijando su residencia en Manhattan y comienza a introducirse en la escena del jazz tocando con Michael P. Yorker Mosmman, Dave Schnitter, Anthony Jackson y Arturo O'Farrill por clubes de jazz como Birland, Smoke, Dizzy's Jazz At Lincoln Center, etc. En febrero de 2004 firmó un contrato en Nueva York con Sunnyside Records y comenzó a trabajar, con la ayuda de Arturo O'Farrill con la Chico O'Farrill Afro Cuban Jazz Orchestra actuando todos los domingos en el Jazz Club Birland. También comenzó a trabajar con Joe Lovano, Tom Harrell, Dave Samuels, etc. Y como productor en grabaciones.
Considerado por la crítica mundial como el creador del Son Mediterráneo especializado, su extensa discografía, 16 discos, consta de ruedas de corte jazzístico tradicional como su gran colección de discos "The Jazz Guitar Trios" (4 volúmenes grabados junto a los mejores organistas y baterías del mundo, Joey defrancesco, Dr. Lonnie Smitt, Lou Bennett, Idris Muhammad, Billy Brooks, etc.).

En 2015, el Gobierno Valenciano selecciona y nombra a Ximo Tebar como nuevo director del "Consell Valencià de Cultura" (CVC), máximo órgano consultivo en materia cultural del gobierno valenciano.
En 2016, como celebración del 25 aniversario de su Son Mediterráneo, Ximo Tebar publica una nueva obra: "SOLEO" El Nuevo Son Mediterráneo Celebrando el 25 (Warner). Como colofón a este aniversario se pone también a la venta un libro, "Ximo Tébar: la guitarra del jazz mediterráneo", escrito por José Pruñonosa (doctor en investigación musical), y editado por Piles (Editorial de Música SA), que hace un recorrido por la discografía de Ximo y por esos veinticinco años de carrera en la música.
