Christiaan Van Hemert • Time's Up



Christiaan is one of the premier violinists in the current gypsy jazz scene and often performs as a guest of the Rosenberg Trio and alongside Stochelo Rosenberg in different groups.  He has played with countless high profile gypsy jazz artists among which are Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schafer, Joscho Stefan, Fapy Lafertin, Tchavolo Schmitt, Roby Lakatos, Remi Harris, Gary Potter and many others.
Besides his activities as a performer he is well known as an educator, teaching at the Rotterdam University of the Arts and in a host of educational videos online. He often hosts workshops worldwide both on violin and guitar and is an expert in the so called ‘Dutch Style’ of gypsy jazz. Together with Stochelo Rosenberg, he maintains and teaches at the online tuition site The Rosenberg Academy.

Christiaan es uno de los principales violinistas en la escena del jazz gitano actual y se presenta a menudo como invitado del Trío de Rosenberg y junto a Stochelo Rosenberg en diferentes grupos. Ha tocado con innumerables artistas gitanos de jazz de alto perfil, entre los que se encuentran Mozes Rosenberg, Paulus Schafer, Joscho Stefan, Fapy Lafertin, Tchavolo Schmitt, Roby Lakatos, Remi Harris, Gary Potter y muchos otros.
Además de sus actividades como artista, es muy conocido como educador, docente en la Universidad de las Artes de Rotterdam y en una gran cantidad de videos educativos en línea. A menudo organiza talleres de violín y guitarra en todo el mundo y es un experto en el llamado "estilo holandés" del jazz gitano. Junto con Stochelo Rosenberg, él mantiene y enseña en el sitio de enseñanza en línea The Rosenberg Academy.
