Composing tunes and playing them with my fellow musicians has for a long time been one of the biggest thrills in my musical career. At the same time, I have always enjoyed projects where all members of the group are engaged in the process of writing and arranging the music. Hammond Organ 7 is one of those collaborative efforts. Featuring sax masters Bob Rockwell and Hans Ulrik. New star Peter Marott on trumpet and his mentor Erling Kroner on trombone. First-call guitarist Per Gade and swingin' and inventive drummers Espen Laub and Casper Mikkelsen complete the lineup.

Erling Kroner was my original inspiration for assembling this band. Unfortunately Erling became very ill and was unable to perform and record with us. Determined to put out an album with the original group I decided to use live recordings made before Erling fell ill.
