Review from JazzTimes (by Owen Cordle):
McKibbon's Latin recording career goes back to "Manteca" with Dizzy in 1948. He has also worked throughout the jazz and entertainment spectrum. This album finds him primarily in a supportive role, providing strong-toned, elastic Latin rhythms on "Off Minor", "Tin Tin Deo", "I Mean You", "Cubano Chant", et al. Reedmen Charles Owen and Justo Almario, pianist Phil Wright, and percussionists José "Papo" Rodríguez and Ramon Banda handle their duties with a pleasing sense of melody and a contagious sense of rhythm. A very enjoyable and well-balanced album.
