We find Igor Butman on tenor, Marco Tamburini on trumpet and Marco Pacassoni on vibraphone in the credits of "A Private Voyage", the album signed by drummer Michele Iaia and guitarist Bob Dusi. It is a work structured in seven tracks, each of which contains a peculiar formal and stylistic world, where Latin jazz, soul, ballad and hard bop features come together. Dusi's guitar, with its confidential and swinging timbre, holds everything together, while the soloists of the other performers, such as Butman's torrential solo in Jazz All Night or Tamburini's elegant solo in Winter Waltz, for the occasion at the flugelhorn, are to be emphasized, in addition to a group work always compact.
The artist's main prerogative is not to conform to conventions. The energy, the spirit of melodic research, compositional experimentation, are therefore the distinctive components for the musician who wants to shape Art in Music. In light of these premises it is possible to understand how A Private Voyage is born free, forged from an original expressive form, free from any scheme. The work comes to life from the collaboration of two artists and the stylistic convergence of their musical essences, in a perfect sound synthesis, with intimate and sincere connotations and strong evocative power. The result is a work full of great compositional cues and refined structures in the arrangements. Impossible the cataloguing of genre for this strong musical language, even if intrinsically characterized by the paths and artistic influences of both interpreters. Their common denominator is 'the voice' of a contaminated, contemporary and constantly evolving jazz, supported, at the same time, by tradition and the old avant-garde of electric jazz. The overall harmony of the individual tracks, although different from each other, characterizes the project of this album, enhanced by the presence of guests who have given the songs a rare elegance.
The listening experience begins with Wes Song, track - fil rouge with the previous album The Growl: The warmth and immediacy of the first bars, focus and capture the imagination. It is a journey back to a familiar place, during which experiences and emotions are collected in the substratum of consciousness, while they increase the construct of personality on their roots. The dialogue between the past and the present is represented by the exchange between tenor sax and guitar, through phrases in typical Soul-Jazz style, wrapped by a rhythmic and melodic fervor. Rio Negro takes off hovering over a pressing Latin background, finding his 'aerial' dimension in a lyrical, cinematographic theme, driven by the enveloping lines of bass, drums and percussion. The track is a great flight over the majestic Amazonian forest, a syllogism that reveals the vivid and intoxicating colors of the equatorial show. It is therefore a Winter Waltz; a photograph, a painting in progress of external reality, as perceived by the subject's interiority: a warm and melancholic contemplation of the slow alternation of time, between the seasons of the mind. Melodic hues color the harmonic fabric with delicate nuances, while the flugelhorn, on the theme of Winter Waltz, touches the image, wrapping it with memories, at first as an intimate introspection, then, during the engraving, showing itself with fervor, cloaked by the elegance of its tones. Approaching Notturna is to discover an essential piece of the propulsive melodic research of the album: born as a ballad, it is then rearranged for quintet, resulting in a fervent expansion of the sound range, where the vibraphone indelibly marks the theme in unison with the guitar, in the sweetness of its evolutions. The ascending climax of this writing, outlines ample space for the improvisations of clear funk matrix. The descent into the ecstatic whirlwind of improvisational rhythm is that of Jazz All Night, capable of imprisoning the soul of the musician in the archetype of the incessant performance, in the smoky darkness of a nightclub. The theme runs fast, when Igor Butman's tenor sax releases a muscular and visceral impact, subtracting any possibility of encoding the moment, overwhelming the listener. Then, suddenly, here is a dream: D.R.eam, a plunge into the dreamlike dimension of identity, suspended in the rarefied absence of time. A piece that explores the inner worlds in the contrasted twilight and twilight chiaroscuro. In an unconscious, indeterminate spatiality, the double bass, trumpet and guitar solos alternate, telling a distant story, made of 'absences', touching and intimate. The adventure continues, traveling the oceanic distances of Hot Wind: the 'Hot Wind' brings with it the revealing essences of the timbre dimension. Rhythm is the guide through the mysteries of unexpected places, while a panorama opens out onto deep, intense, sonorous colors. A metaphorical-representative scenario, where the numerous musical experiences of the various interpreters, in Latin and funk, are symbols for images. The poetic candour is released, in this exotic sky, by the notes of Fender Rhodes and a guitar with a mystical sound, unique, dialoguing interlocutor between the different instruments.
At the end of this multifaceted musical journey, we can say that we are fully reflected in the performances and arrangements. As rarely happens, we have collaborated with a particularly stimulating and productive team that, by supporting us, has allowed us to arrive at a final result in full accordance with our expectations.

Encontramos a Igor Butman en el tenor, Marco Tamburini en la trompeta y Marco Pacassoni en el vibráfono en los créditos de "A Private Voyage", el álbum firmado por el baterista Michele Iaia y el guitarrista Bob Dusi. Es una obra estructurada en siete temas, cada uno de los cuales contiene un peculiar mundo formal y estilístico, en el que confluyen características del jazz latino, el soul, la balada y el hard bop. La guitarra de Dusi, con su timbre confidencial y oscilante, lo mantiene todo unido, mientras que los solistas de los demás intérpretes, como el torrencial solo de Butman en Jazz All Night o el elegante solo de Tamburini en Winter Waltz, para la ocasión en el fliscorno, son de destacar, además de un trabajo de grupo siempre compacto.
La principal prerrogativa del artista es no conformarse con las convenciones. La energía, el espíritu de la investigación melódica, la experimentación compositiva, son por lo tanto los componentes distintivos para el músico que quiere dar forma al Arte en la Música. A la luz de estas premisas es posible comprender cómo nace Un viaje privado libre, forjado a partir de una forma expresiva original, libre de cualquier esquema. La obra cobra vida gracias a la colaboración de dos artistas y a la convergencia estilística de sus esencias musicales, en una síntesis sonora perfecta, con connotaciones íntimas y sinceras y un fuerte poder de evocación. El resultado es una obra llena de grandes claves compositivas y estructuras refinadas en los arreglos. Es imposible catalogar el género para este fuerte lenguaje musical, aunque se caracterice intrínsecamente por los caminos e influencias artísticas de ambos intérpretes. Su común denominador es "la voz" de un jazz contaminado, contemporáneo y en constante evolución, apoyado, al mismo tiempo, por la tradición y la vieja vanguardia del jazz eléctrico. La armonía general de los temas individuales, aunque diferentes entre sí, caracteriza el proyecto de este álbum, realzado por la presencia de invitados que han dado a las canciones una rara elegancia.
La experiencia auditiva comienza con Wes Song, una pista - un fil rouge con el álbum anterior The Growl: La calidez e inmediatez de los primeros compases, enfocan y capturan la imaginación. Es un viaje de vuelta a un lugar familiar, durante el cual las experiencias y emociones se reúnen en el sustrato de la conciencia, mientras se aumenta la construcción de la personalidad en las raíces de uno. El diálogo entre el pasado y el presente está representado por el intercambio entre el saxo tenor y la guitarra, a través de frases en el típico estilo Soul-Jazz, envueltas por un fervor rítmico y melódico. Río Negro se desplaza sobre un fondo latino apremiante, encontrando su dimensión "aérea" en un tema lírico y cinematográfico, impulsado por las envolventes líneas de bajo, batería y percusión. La pista es un gran vuelo sobre la majestuosa selva amazónica, un silogismo que revela los vivos y embriagadores colores del espectáculo ecuatorial. Pasamos entonces a un Vals de Invierno; una fotografía, un cuadro en progreso de la realidad externa, tal como se percibe por la interioridad del sujeto: una cálida y melancólica contemplación de la lenta alternancia del tiempo, entre las estaciones de la mente. Los tonos melódicos colorean el tejido armónico con delicados matices, mientras que el fliscorno, en el tema de Vals de Invierno, toca la imagen, envolviéndola con recuerdos, al principio como una introspección íntima, luego, durante el grabado, mostrándose con fervor, envuelto por la elegancia de sus tonos. Acercarse a Notturna es descubrir una pieza esencial de la investigación melódica propulsora del álbum: nacida como balada, se reordena luego para quinteto, lo que da lugar a una expansión ferviente de la gama sonora, donde el vibráfono marca indeleblemente el tema al unísono con la guitarra, en la dulzura de sus evoluciones. El clímax ascendente de este escrito, esboza un amplio espacio para las improvisaciones de la matriz de funk claro. El descenso en el torbellino extático del ritmo de improvisación es el del Jazz All Night, capaz de aprisionar el alma del músico en el arquetipo de la actuación incesante, en la oscuridad ahumada de un club nocturno. El tema fluye rápido, cuando el saxo tenor de Igor Butman libera un impacto muscular y visceral, restando cualquier posibilidad de codificar el momento, abrumando al oyente. Entonces, de repente, aquí hay un sueño: D.R.eam, una inmersión en la dimensión onírica de la identidad, suspendida en la enrarecida ausencia de tiempo. Una canción que explora los mundos internos en el contrastado crepúsculo y el claroscuro crepuscular. En una espacialidad inconsciente e indeterminada, los solos de contrabajo, trompeta y guitarra se alternan, contando una historia lejana, hecha de "ausencias", conmovedora e íntima. La aventura continúa, viajando las distancias oceánicas de Viento Caliente: el "Viento Caliente" trae consigo las reveladoras esencias de la dimensión tímbrica. El ritmo es la guía a través de los misterios de lugares inesperados, mientras que el panorama se abre a colores profundos, intensos y sonoros. Un escenario metafórico-representativo, donde las numerosas experiencias musicales de los distintos intérpretes, en las esferas del latín y el funk, son símbolos en imágenes. El candor poético es liberado, en este cielo exótico, por las notas de Fender Rhodes y una guitarra con un sonido místico, único, interlocutor dialogante entre los diferentes instrumentos.
Al final de este multifacético viaje musical, podemos decir que estamos plenamente reflejados en las actuaciones y arreglos. Como pocas veces ocurre, colaboramos con un equipo particularmente estimulante y productivo que, al apoyarnos, nos permitió llegar a un resultado final plenamente acorde con nuestras expectativas.
