Considerado uno de los mejores grupos del jazz y la musica instrumental popular paraguaya, Joaju Cuarteto fue fundado en 2011 por el baterista Victor Sebastian Morel. El grupo representa la vanguardia del jazz en Paraguay, vinculando el genero con la musica popular instrumental y las raices de la tradicion paraguaya. Su primer album, Jazz de Aca, es un tributo a compositores del jazz paraguayo, con arreglos propios del cuarteto realizados en colaboracion con los autores originales. Desde su lanzamiento, el grupo giro por importantes festivales y escenarios en Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru y Europa, recibiendo excelentes criticas a nivel internacional. Su segundo album, Ahoraite (2018), fue nominado como mejor Album de Jazz Instrumental en los Independent Music Awards 2019.

The group represents the vanguard of jazz in Paraguay, linking the genre with popular instrumental music and the roots of Paraguayan tradition. Their first album, Jazz de Aca, is a tribute to Paraguayan jazz composers, featuring the quartet's own arrangements made in collaboration with the original authors. Since its release, the group has toured important festivals and venues in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru and Europe, receiving excellent reviews internationally.
