This SteepleChase CD, taken from a live concert from the Montmartre Jazzhus in Copenhagen, features trumpeter Kenny Dorham, flugelhornist Allan Botschinsky, pianist Tete Montoliu, bassist Niels Pedersen (then only 17) and drummer Alex Riel stretching out on four standards and Dorham's "Short Story." Dorham (featured on "Manha De Carnival") and Botschinsky (who is showcased on "The Touch of Your Lips") display complementary styles but are not shy to occasionally play fiery phrases. However Montoliu (in exciting form) often steals the show during the relaxed set.

Este CD de SteepleChase, extraído de un concierto en directo en el Montmartre Jazzhus de Copenhague, presenta al trompetista Kenny Dorham, al fliscornista Allan Botschinsky, al pianista Tete Montoliu, al bajista Niels Pedersen (que entonces sólo tenía 17 años) y al batería Alex Riel, que se prodigan en cuatro standards y en "Short Story" de Dorham. Dorham (que aparece en "Manha De Carnival") y Botschinsky (que se luce en "The Touch of Your Lips") muestran estilos complementarios, pero no se avergüenzan de tocar ocasionalmente frases fogosas. Sin embargo, Montoliu (en una forma excitante) a menudo se roba el show durante el relajado set.
