Hello Egroj. Thanks for all you download shares; I am collecting saxophone jazz for my friends teenage son. Is it just me or are others having an issue of a virus attachment on the DepositFiles links? Everything has been fine since forever, and I have been only searching on saxophone jazz, but starting with the Chico Freeman Quartet on Friday, April 18th up to today, my computer stops the download and warns of a threat: Trojan:Script/Wacatac.C!ml. Is there anything that can be solved at your end? Thanks.

DeleteWell, it could be the Depositfiles website, although when scanned with https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/url , it doesn't find anything, as well as on the blog. The rar file, which I have also scanned. But if it is Depositfile, copy the download link (right click on the vinyl icon and select ‘copy link’ and paste it into JDownloader or another download manager of your choice.

The problem must depend on the Depositfiles server where each file is hosted, because what is not normal is that, coming from the same source, some test positive and others—the vast majority—do not.
ReplyDeleteI just retried a straight download from DepositFiles for the Chico Freeman - No Time Left, which had failed previously, but this time it worked. I will try the others that failed, but not until tomorrow. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks Egroj for the recommendation to use virustotal. I also checked the downloads from Chico Freeman to Jimmy Giuffre and they all were shown as clean - so I downloaded them all with no virus warning. However, they still tried to send me to a porn site, but I was able to quickly close the offending tabs.
ReplyDeleteYou can configure not to open tabs or pop-up windows. But if you use JDownloader or another manager, you shouldn't have these problems.
Delete
