Pierre Manetti • First Shot

 

Born in 93, the future of Pierre Manetti seems to be already drawn. Indeed, he is the youngest son of the famous guitarist Romane and the brother of Richard Manetti also guitarist. It is thus under the guidance of his father that Pierre Manetti sketches his fi rst notes on the guitar and thus, refi nes his playing. In 2009, he won the special prize for young talents at the French Festival des Puces de Saint-Ouen. Then, he meets many people who naturally push him to play in many jazz clubs until the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for the tribute to Django Reinhardt : Django 100. We discover here above all a real group where the sometimes muscular, sometimes refi ned interventions of Christophe Cravero on the C2D organ, the drummer Laurent Locuratolo and the bassist Henri Dorina follow one another. Pierre Manetti’s guitar playing is at its best on the ten original compositions written by him. The freshness and the enthusiasm of his interventions are communicative and win an instant adhesion. Endowed with a flawless intensity without forbidding some sumptuous ballads, first shot succeeds in touching us in the heart.
