Johnny Lytle • Everything Must Change

Review by Ron Wynn
Before Roy Ayers became a predominantly R&B and funk player, he and Johnny Lytle were the best among soul-jazz and blues vibists. Despite the rather limp title track, this is a nice '77 set with Lytle, strong organist Big John Patton, and some solid honking tenor sax by David Schnitter.
