This follow-up to 1959's Impact repeats the formula with perhaps a somewhat more cohesive selection of material, drawn primarily from detective and police shows of the period. This time out, Buddy Morrow and the orchestra jazz up (or try to) such thematic material as Men Into Space, Hawaiian Eye, Bourbon Street Beat, and The Untouchables. Bourbon Street Beat, in particular, benefits from the treatment that it receives here, very close to the original TV recording but with enough of an emphasis on New Orleans jazz and R&B to make it seem heavier and more serious. Nothing will replace Nelson Riddle's own official recording of the Untouchables theme, but Morrow and arranger Ray Martin try hard, placing an emphasis on the electric guitar. Unfortunately, some of the music here doesn't work at all, such as the barely recognizable recording of Bernard Herrmann's main theme from The Twilight Zone (in which a brief quote from other television "stock music" associated with The Adventures of Superman, appears); the rather ham-fisted adaptation of Bonanza; and the closer. And the main title music from International Detective isn't worthy of the rest of what is here. The "Living Stereo" sound has retained its luster, however, and what is worthwhile on this album is very diverting. Reissued by Spanish RCA in 1998 along with the original Impact.

Esta continuación del Impacto de 1959 repite la fórmula con una selección quizás algo más cohesiva de material, extraído principalmente de espectáculos de detectives y policías del período. Esta vez, Buddy Morrow y la orquesta amenizan (o intentan amenizar) material temático como Men Into Space, Hawaiian Eye, Bourbon Street Beat y The Untouchables. Bourbon Street Beat, en particular, se beneficia del tratamiento que recibe aquí, muy cercano al de la grabación original para televisión pero con suficiente énfasis en el jazz y el R&B de Nueva Orleans para que parezca más pesado y serio. Nada reemplazará la grabación oficial del tema de los Intocables del propio Nelson Riddle, pero Morrow y el arreglista Ray Martin se esfuerzan, poniendo énfasis en la guitarra eléctrica. Por desgracia, parte de la música de aquí no funciona en absoluto, como la apenas reconocible grabación del tema principal de Bernard Herrmann de The Twilight Zone (en la que aparece una breve cita de otra "música de archivo" de televisión asociada a Las aventuras de Superman); la adaptación más bien forzada de Bonanza; y el cierre.
