Dunstan Coulber Quartet • Standards For A New Century

Clarinettist and tenor saxophonist, Dunstan Coulber first came to the attention of the general public when he won the Perrier Young Jazz Musician of the Year Award in April 2000. Dunstan formed The Dunstan Coulber Quartet early in 1999 with a clear idea of the music he wanted to be playing. Firmly rooted in the swinging mainstream jazz tradition, the Quartet have pursued Dunstan's aim of bringing a fresh, up to date interpretation to the classics of the great American song book and out-of-the-way standards.

Clarinetista y saxofonista tenor, Dunstan Coulber llamó por primera vez la atención del público en general cuando ganó el Premio Perrier al Joven Músico de Jazz del Año en abril de 2000. Dunstan formó el Cuarteto Dunstan Coulber a principios de 1999 con una idea clara de la música que quería tocar. Firmemente arraigado en la tradición del jazz convencional, el Cuarteto ha perseguido el objetivo de Dunstan de ofrecer una interpretación fresca y actualizada de los clásicos del gran cancionero americano y de los estándares más modernos.
