This is jazz organ music that bridges the official 'dirty thang' with space funk... Heavily influenced by both Don Patterson & Larry Young, Bill Heid continues to carry the torch for old school jazz organ. Bill Heid's singular take on the jazz organ tradition always makes for a rewarding musical experience. On this latest release, the Pittsburgh native reflects on his many years touring Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and most recently, China. He is joined by guitarist Peter Bernstein, drummer Michael Petrosino, and conga player George Jones on select tracks. The session came together over a period of less than 2 days at Heid Studios in Pittsburgh, on the way from, and to, overseas engagements. As luck would have it, all the players were available to record in that small window of opportunity. -

Esta es una música de órgano de jazz que une el "dirty thang" oficial con el funk espacial... Muy influenciado por Don Patterson y Larry Young, Bill Heid sigue llevando la antorcha del órgano de jazz de la vieja escuela. La singular visión de Bill Heid de la tradición del órgano de jazz siempre es una experiencia musical gratificante. En este último lanzamiento, el nativo de Pittsburgh reflexiona sobre sus muchos años de gira por Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Malasia, Indonesia, Japón y, más recientemente, China. Le acompañan el guitarrista Peter Bernstein, el batería Michael Petrosino y el conguero George Jones en algunos temas.
