In Quarantäne ist das neue Album des Dirk Wasmund Trios, das in Corona-Zeiten, in vielen Monaten, da Auftrittsgelegenheiten für Musiker zur absoluten Rarität wurden, als Spielvereinigung Gleichgesinnter und Gefühlsverwandter enger und bewusster zueinander fand.
Das Ensemble wird komplettiert durch die Akkordeonistin Romy Mäder, die am Zwickauer Robert-Schumann-Konservatorium und an der Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar studierte und die auf einen musikalischen Hintergrund von Folklore und Swing bis zur heiteren Klassik zurückgreifen kann, sowie durch den Gitarristen Markus Ziller-Schmidt, ebenfalls Absolvent der Weimarer Musikhochschule; auch er gesegnet mit Erfahrungen in Jazz und Rock, aber auch in Oper und Musical.
Nachdem man schon seit Jahren immer wieder mal gemeinsam musizierte, scheint sich das Trio mittlerweile auf einen eigenständigen Weg gemacht zu haben, und die Besetzung kommt hörbar dem musikalischen Material entgegen. Das besteht – mit Ausnahme von drei Stücken (der sizilianischen Volksweise Ciuri ciuri aus der Feder von Francesco Paolo Frontini, der Milonga, beigesteuert von Markus Ziller-Schmidt und dem Blumenduett Sous le dôme épais aus Léo Delibes Oper Lakmé) – wieder aus Kompositionen von Dirk Wasmund: zwischen Heiterkeit und Melancholie, elegant und einfühlsam.

In Quarantine is the new album of the Dirk Wasmund Trio, which in Corona times, in many months when performance opportunities for musicians became an absolute rarity, found closer and more conscious to each other as a play association of like-minded and emotional people.
The ensemble is completed by accordionist Romy Mäder, who studied at the Robert Schumann Conservatory in Zwickau and at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Weimar, and who can draw on a musical background ranging from folk and swing to light-hearted classical music, as well as guitarist Markus Ziller-Schmidt, also a graduate of the Weimar Academy of Music; he too is blessed with experience in jazz and rock, but also in opera and musicals.
After years of playing together from time to time, the trio now seems to have set out on its own independent path, and the instrumentation audibly suits the musical material. With the exception of three pieces (the Sicilian folk tune Ciuri ciuri from the pen of Francesco Paolo Frontini, the Milonga, contributed by Markus Ziller-Schmidt and the flower duet Sous le dôme épais from Léo Delibe's opera Lakmé), this again consists of compositions by Dirk Wasmund: between cheerfulness and melancholy, elegant and sensitive.

In Quarantine es el nuevo álbum del Dirk Wasmund Trio, que en tiempos de Corona, en muchos meses en los que las oportunidades de actuación para los músicos se convirtieron en una absoluta rareza, se unió más y más conscientemente como una asociación de juego de personas afines y emocionales.
El conjunto se completa con el acordeonista Romy Mäder, que estudió en el Conservatorio Robert Schumann de Zwickau y en la Academia de Música Franz Liszt de Weimar, y que puede recurrir a un bagaje musical que va desde el folk y el swing hasta la música clásica desenfadada, así como con el guitarrista Markus Ziller-Schmidt, también graduado en la Academia de Música de Weimar; él también cuenta con experiencia en jazz y rock, pero también en ópera y musicales.
Tras años tocando juntos de vez en cuando, ahora el trío parece haber emprendido su propio camino, y la instrumentación se adapta audiblemente al material musical. A excepción de tres piezas (la melodía popular siciliana Ciuri ciuri de la pluma de Francesco Paolo Frontini, la Milonga, aportada por Markus Ziller-Schmidt y el dúo de flores Sous le dôme épais de la ópera Lakmé de Léo Delibe), se trata de nuevo de composiciones de Dirk Wasmund: entre la alegría y la melancolía, elegantes y sensibles.
