“Yes Indeed!” es una grabación que llevaba guardada más de 15 años, una presentación de la leyenda de la armónica Lazy Lester en el Festival de Música de Nueva Orléans realizado en la ciudad francesa de Perigeux. Esto ocurrió en agosto del año 2003, Benoit Blue Boy (organizador del festival) tuvo la idea de reunir a Lazy Lester con su banda Les Tortilleurs. Ya eran conocidos pues Benoit y su grupo frecuentemente acompañaban a Lester en sus giras por Francia Esa noche, el parque Gamenson de Periguex se llenó de la atmósfera de los pantanos de Luisana y aunque Lester no interpretó la armónica en todo el recital (fue Benoit Blue Boy el encargado) su voz permitió que la magia llenara el lugar. Un ensayo previo y lo demás sobre el escenario fue cruces de miradas y señas, la conexión estaba hecha y el público simplemente disfrutó de este grupo que reafirmó que con notas y silencios, el blues mientras más sencillo es más bello. Lazy Lester en la voz, Benoit Blue Boy en la armónica, Thibaut Chopin en el contrabajo, Fabrice Millerioux en la batería, Stan Nopubard Pasha en la guitarra y Geraint Watkins en el Hammond B3 se encargaron con espontaneidad y elegancia de llevar el Delta del Mississippi a Francia. Lazy Lester murió en agosto de 2018, dejando un legado impresionante para el blues. Este álbum es una muestra de ese sonido que Lester se encargó de llevar por el mundo entero. Yes, indeed!

"Yes Indeed! is a recording that has been kept for more than 15 years, a performance by harmonica legend Lazy Lester at the New Orleans Music Festival in the French city of Perigeux. This happened in August 2003, Benoit Blue Boy (organizer of the festival) had the idea to reunite Lazy Lester with his band Les Tortilleurs. They were already known as Benoit and his group frequently accompanied Lester in his tours around France. That night, the Gamenson park in Periguex was filled with the atmosphere of the marshes of Louisana and although Lester did not play the harmonica in the whole recital (it was Benoit Blue Boy who was in charge) his voice allowed the magic to fill the place. A previous rehearsal and the rest on stage were crosses of looks and signs, the connection was made and the audience simply enjoyed this group that reaffirmed that with notes and silences, the blues the simpler it is the more beautiful. Lazy Lester on vocals, Benoit Blue Boy on harmonica, Thibaut Chopin on double bass, Fabrice Millerioux on drums, Stan Nopubard Pasha on guitar and Geraint Watkins on Hammond B3 spontaneously and elegantly took the Mississippi Delta to France. Lazy Lester died in August 2018, leaving an impressive legacy for the blues. This album is a sample of that sound that Lester took around the world. Yes, indeed!
