Wes Montgomery Feat. The Eddie Higgins Trio • One Night In Indy (Live)

 

Appearing on CD for the first time is this unique 1959 recording of legendary jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery, playing with the Eddie Higgins Trio, at an Indianapolis Jazz Society Club. Featuring Wes on guitar, Eddie Higgins on piano and Walter Perkins on drums. These recordings were first issued on LP for Record Store Day's 2015 Black Friday event and is now available on this deluxe CD edition.

The original tapes formerly belonged to the late-great Indiana photo journalist, Duncan Schiedt, who passed away in 2014. Members of Indianapolis jazz society club that Scheidt co-ran recorded this performance.

Resonance Records continues to bring archival recordings to light. Some past releases include the critically acclaimed 2015 Grammy Award-winning John Coltrane release 'Offering: Live at Temple University' (Best Album Notes, by Ashley Kahn), Wes Montgomery 'In the Beginning', Charles Lloyd 'Manhattan Stories', and Bill Evans 'Live at Art D'Lugoff's Top of the Gate'.

Aparece en CD por primera vez esta grabación única de 1959 del legendario guitarrista de jazz Wes Montgomery, tocando con el Eddie Higgins Trio, en un Club de la Sociedad de Jazz de Indianápolis. Con Wes en la guitarra, Eddie Higgins en el piano y Walter Perkins en la batería. Estas grabaciones fueron publicadas por primera vez en un LP para el evento del Viernes Negro de 2015 de la tienda de discos y ahora están disponibles en esta edición de lujo en CD.
