Bob Kindred Quartet • Blue Moon



Bob Kindred is a great tenor sax player who is consistently underrated and underexposed. Aside from some CDs released by a small audiophile label Mapleshade, it is not easy to find his leader albums in the market. Venus Records wanted to correct this situation and signed Kindred a few years ago and released this label debut album, Blue Moon.
With superb supporting musicians, Kindred plays a program of mostly standards with his distinctive, brawny and sensual tone and a sly sense of humor. This swinging and romantic collection is a must-have, for fans of Kindred and jazz saxophones!

Bob Kindred es un gran saxofonista tenor que siempre está infravalorado y subexpuesto. Aparte de algunos CDs editados por un pequeño sello de audiófilos, Mapleshade, no es fácil encontrar sus álbumes de líder en el mercado. Venus Records ha querido corregir esta situación y ha fichado a Kindred hace unos años y ha publicado el álbum de debut de este sello, Blue Moon.
Con magníficos músicos de apoyo, Kindred interpreta un programa de estándares en su mayoría con su distintivo tono musculoso y sensual y un astuto sentido del humor. Esta colección, romántica y llena de swing, es imprescindible para los fans de Kindred y de los saxofones de jazz.
