Jackson's Action is a stone cooker from tenorist Willis Jackson, who always seems to burn even stronger than usual in concert performance! The group is raw, rough, and plenty swinging – the great Pat Martino on guitar, Carl Wilson on organ, and Joe Hadrick on drums – plus additional trumpet from Frank Robinson, who really blasts out nicely in the frontline with Jackson! The rhythms are amazing – very snapping and catchy, with almost an early modal soul jazz vibe – and titles include a great long version of "Jive Samba", which sounds very similar to Jackson's amazing Prestige classic "Nother'n Like Thuther'n" – plus the cuts "I Wish You Love", "Monkey Hips", "Aw Right Do It", and "Jackson's Action".

Jackson's Action es un cocinero de piedra del tenor Willis Jackson, que siempre parece arder más fuerte de lo habitual en los conciertos. El grupo es crudo, áspero y con mucho swing: el gran Pat Martino a la guitarra, Carl Wilson al órgano y Joe Hadrick a la batería, además de la trompeta adicional de Frank Robinson, ¡que realmente estalla muy bien en la primera línea con Jackson!
