The Drawbars • One Finger Only

 

In 2018, bassist David Nesselhauf fulfilled his dream of playing in a highly flexible and funky trio by calling upon the players that impressed him gigging around town in Hamburg, Germany. The Drawbars were formed with keyboardist Chris Haertel playing a number of vintage organs, pianos, and wurlitzers, while drummer Julian Gutjahr provided a backbone with a steady beat. During the first session, a good amount of original tunes were layouted, soon to be followed by the band's first gigs and releases. Further defining "off jazz" for the audience and the trio, their debut album, 'One Finger Only,' encompasses stylistic unity and diversity at the same time. Fusing elements of soul-jazz, funk, and psychedelic music with the attitude of a rocking, jazz-loving organ trio.

En 2018, el bajista David Nesselhauf cumplió su sueño de tocar en un trío muy flexible y funky llamando a los músicos que le impresionaron dando conciertos por la ciudad de Hamburgo, Alemania. The Drawbars se formó con el teclista Chris Haertel tocando varios órganos vintage, pianos y wurlitzers, mientras que el baterista Julian Gutjahr proporcionó una columna vertebral con un ritmo constante.
