Hi, this is a well meant comment from a long time 'lurker' (I think that might be what I would be called). I love your blog, but don't say thank you enough!
ReplyDeleteBasically what I want to say is that the 'front page' entry for this download (Big John Patton) is almost perfect except that I would add the original date of release before the title of the album. Any other information - biography, review, etc - I would place under your 'Read More' link so as not to clutter the front page. I would then try to put 10 entries per page.
This is not a criticism as such, more an expression of my obsessiveness. You are doing a wonderful job; so much fantastic music and literature.
If I have displeased you, please forget that I even exist.

DeleteWell, inserting the year of launching seems to me that it takes away the strength of the title, since we are all day long pending of numbers. The 5 posts per page, is a hangover from the beginning, because many posts made the blog heavy, I was reducing images and other issues and stayed that way, but you can see the last 100 posts on the right if you do not want to turn the pages and read text. Also since you are registered in Blogger, you can have access to the reading list which is a summary of what is being published in the posts you follow. I hope all these alternatives are useful for you.

DeleteI suppose my basic point is that I would streamline/de-clutter the front page and put all of the extra information on the 'Read More' link rather than cutting and pasting twice.
