Newport '63 is the compilation of three songs recorded in wonderful versions at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1963: I Want to Talk About You, My Favorite Things and Impressions, which have the particularity that drummer Roy Haynes replaces the usual quartet member Elvin Jones; plus the addition of Chasin' Another Trane, taken from the legendary sessions at the Village Vanguard in 1961, the only piece in which the aforementioned drummer plays.
