After releasing albums with a quartet (Hypnos, 2011) and a quintet (Layers, 2016) bearing his name, hitting #1 at the iTunes Jazz Charts and performing at North Sea Jazz Festival twice, guitarist Michiel Stekelenburg now introduces Trio Onoda. Nonetheless their traditional line-up of guitar-Hammond-drums, the trio does not walk the traditional path. Modern, dynamic and atmospheric compositions is what they offer, looking for common ground with contemporary composed music, at the same time not afraid of sharing some raw energy!

Después de publicar discos con un cuarteto (Hypnos, 2011) y un quinteto (Layers, 2016) que llevan su nombre, alcanzar el número 1 en las listas de jazz de iTunes y actuar en el North Sea Jazz Festival en dos ocasiones, el guitarrista Michiel Stekelenburg presenta ahora el Trio Onoda. A pesar de su alineación tradicional de guitarra-Hammond-batería, el trío no camina por el camino tradicional. Lo que ofrecen son composiciones modernas, dinámicas y atmosféricas, que buscan un terreno común con la música compuesta contemporánea, y al mismo tiempo no temen compartir algo de energía cruda.
