While sitting at his Grandmother’s piano at the tender age of nine, Dave
began running his fingers up and down the keyboard. At that time his
favorite tune was “Heart and Soul”. Soon he realized he could pick out
that song on the piano. To his delight, he began to play other
favorites. Then, by adding chords and tempo, he could make songs sound
like they should. Thus began a lifetime love affair with music. In
High School he formed a Rock-n-Roll band, named it “The Teen Beats”, and
became its arranger. When college came along he was an announcer for
St. Louis University’s radio station, KBIL (Voice of the Billikens).
He’d play music whenever and wherever he could. Among his hobbies of
music, motorcycles, classic cars, boating, and piloting aircraft, music
was always his first love. Today his self-trained musical ability has
landed him positions as organist at the Wurlitzers of the Fabulous Fox
Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri, and organist at the Lincoln theatre in
Belleville, Illinois.

Mientras estaba sentado al piano de su abuela, a la tierna edad de nueve años, Dave empezó a pasar sus dedos por el teclado. En ese momento su melodía favorita era "Heart and Soul". Pronto se dio cuenta de que podía tocar esa canción en el piano. Para su deleite, empezó a tocar otras favoritas. Entonces, añadiendo acordes y tempo, pudo hacer que las canciones sonaran como debían. Así comenzó una historia de amor con la música que duró toda la vida. En el instituto formó un grupo de Rock-n-Roll, al que llamó "The Teen Beats", y se convirtió en su arreglista. Cuando llegó la universidad fue locutor de la emisora de radio de la Universidad de San Luis, KBIL (Voz de los Billikens). Ponía música cuando y donde podía. Entre sus aficiones musicales, las motos, los coches clásicos, la navegación y el pilotaje de aviones, la música fue siempre su primer amor. En la actualidad, su habilidad musical autodidacta le ha valido puestos como organista de los Wurlitzers del Fabuloso Teatro Fox de St. Louis, Missouri, y organista del teatro Lincoln de Belleville, Illinois.
