 Victor Feldman es considerado uno de los más importantes músicos de jazz de Gran Bretaña. Nació el 7 de abril de 1934, y ya estaba en el escenario tocando la batería con la banda de Glenn Miller a la edad de seis años. Glenn Miller llama a Feldman "El mayor joven percusionista jamás creado".
Ya mayor entra en la escena británica del jazz alternándose entre batería, vibráfono y piano, siendo admirado por su versatilidad en la interpretación de dichos instrumentos.





En 1955 emigra a USA instalándose sin problemas en el circuito jazzístico de Los Ángeles, tocando con figuras tales como Woody Herman, Benny Goodman, Scout LaFaro, George Shearing, Cannonball Adderley, Miles Davis, e incluso diversificando su visión musical con talentos como Frank Zapp, Steely Dan, Tom Waits y Joe Walsh.




Más de un centenar de sus composiciones han sido grabadas, incluyendo los clásicos del jazz reconocible al instante "Seven Steps to Heaven" y "Joshua", hecha famosa por Miles Davis y grabado y tocado con otros artistas no nombrados en esta escueta bio.
Fallece en su casa, a la edad de 53 años, a raíz de un ataque de asma.
